Job Description
The International Society for Industrial Ecology is seeking motivated PhD researchers for Postdoctoral Research Opportunities in Environmental Economics and Industrial Systems in Victoria, BC, Canada. We are seeking highly motivated PhD researchers to join our team in developing innovative solutions for deep decarbonisation. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, collaborate with experts in the field, and contribute to the development of new environment-economy models.
About the Project
This project involves the development of next-generation environment-economy models to support policy and investment in the low-carbon transition. You will work closely with our team of experts to design and implement integrated assessment modeling approaches, as well as develop economic input-output analysis models.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement advanced models to support policy and investment in the low-carbon transition
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement integrated assessment modeling approaches
• Develop economic input-output analysis models
• Contribute to the development of new environment-economy models
Requirements
• Masters or PhD degree in industrial ecology, ecological economics, sustainability science, economics, engineering, environmental studies, or a related field
• Proven experience in economic input-output analysis and complex systems modeling
• Strong skills in integrated assessment modeling, material and energy flow analysis, and data analysis
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
• Proficiency in English language (written and spoken)
