Both positions are part of the Leeds School Research Initiative for Global Business and Citizen Well-Being. One position is in Household Finance in the interdisciplinary Center for Research in Consumer Financial Decision Making. The second is in Business and Sustainability in the interdisciplinary Center for Ethics and Social Responsibility. Each position is a 2-year appointment. What We Require: To be eligible, candidates must complete their PhD by July prior to starting the fellowship and must be able to be in residence at the University of Colorado by August of 2025. The Household Finance scholar will join the interdisciplinary Center for Research on Consumer Financial Decision Making. The Center conducts basic and applied research about how consumer welfare is affected by financial decisions that take place in systems created by business and government policies. People make decisions about housing and mortgages; save for college education or retirement; invest in their own human capital development to provide a stream of financial benefits over time; borrow to fund current consumption; decide which debts to pay first and how much to pay on each. They make risky investments to achieve higher wealth; pay for insurance to reduce risk; pay for health care; and cope with shocks. Center research advances understanding of how consumers make such decisions and how they can be helped to make better decisions through innovations in public policy, business, and consumer education. The Business and Sustainability scholar will join the interdisciplinary Center for Ethics and Social Responsibility, which brings together scholars researching how business can contribute to human and environmental sustainability through initiatives in: Clean energy transition, Climate change mitigation, Disaster relief and recovery, Environmental protection, Healthcare access, Poverty alleviation, Sustainable finance and reporting, Employer contributions to employee well-being, Social or environmental entrepreneurship. In both positions, the scholar selected will join a collegial and influential group of business scholars with the highest standards of research excellence. Additional Information Key Responsibilities : Both positions are part of the Leeds School Research Initiative for Global Business and Citizen Well Being. The scholar will initiate and publish new research projects related to the Initiative, while advancing publication of current work and preparing for tenure-track faculty positions. During the fellowship, postdoctoral fellows are expected to be in residence, work closely with Center faculty and PhD students on research projects, and participate in research seminars at Leeds. Teaching opportunities may be available for qualified individuals. What We Can Offer : This is a two-year contract (extension to a third year may be possible by mutual agreement in year 2). The salary for this 100% appointment is $95,400 with full retirement and health insurance benefits. Additional benefits include an annual $5,000 allowance for research-related expenses and travel, a single standard computer, IT support, access to standard databases such as WRDS, and up to $2,000 in relocation moving. #J-18808-Ljbffr
