Planning Policy and Conservation Manager

Osborne Richardson is seeking a Planning Policy and Conservation Manager for a Local Authority in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The role involves directing and managing planning services, developing Local Plans, and formulating policy in compliance with statutory requirements. Candidates should have prior experience in a similar position, expert knowledge of UK planning legislation, and RTPI accreditation. The contract is expected to last 3-6 months, with a pay rate of £350-£450/day, depending on experience.
We are looking for a Planning Policy and Conservation Manager to take a key role for a Local Authority in Oxfordshire.

As a Planning Policy and Conservation Manager you will help direct and manage the service, providing vital support to the Assistant Director. Your core activity will focus on developing Local Plans and taking a lead on formulating policy and documentation in line with statutory requirements.

You will work across the various planning services to help develop strategy and you will spend time working on projects to secure and implement Growth Deals and other Government initiatives. On a daily basis you will be making key decisions that effect service delivery and you will be expected to act as an expert on advisory matters.

To carry out the role of Planning Policy and Conservation Manager you will need to have worked in a similar capacity previously. Our client needs someone with expert knowledge of UK planning legislation alongside the ability and confidence required to undertake a lead role in a department. We are looking for someone with RTPI accreditation.

The role is expected to last 3-6 months minimum and we would expect to pay £350-£450/day (umbrella) depending on experience.
