PERMIT ENGINEER1.1 Job Scope SummaryTo establish, implement, and manage an effective Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, including setting up the Permit Office, ensuring safe execution of all activities in compliance with HSE standards, while supporting shift operations including CRO coverage when required.Work Authority:Authorized to issue, suspend, and cancel Permit-to-Work (PTW) activities in the plant.Authority to verify and approve isolations (LOTO), risk assessments, and method statements before work starts.Authorized to ensure mandatory gas testing (GS testing) is conducted before issuing special permitsStop unsafe workReject or suspend permits 1.2 Job ResponsibilitiesA. PTW System Implementation & Permit Office SetupDevelop, implement, and manage the PTW system across the plantEstablish and set up a fully functional Permit OfficeMaintain permit registers, tracking systems, and display boardsDefine permit types and roles (Issuer, Receiver, Approver)Ensure compliance with HSE requirementsB. Isolation & LOTO ControlImplement and manage LOTO systemVerify mechanical, electrical, process isolation & confirm zero energy state.Maintain isolation recordsC. HSE Compliance & Risk ControlEnsure all work has RA, MS, and JSAConduct audits and site inspectionsEnsure compliance with HSEParticipate in incident investigationsD.
