Position Summary
EBI Consulting is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our accounting team. This person will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
This position will report indirectly to the Sr Accounting Manager will be expected to be on-site 5 days per week in our Burlington, MA corporate headquarters. As such, candidates need to be located geographically approximate to Burlington, MA and able to thrive in a corporate environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for processing and managing the company's bi-weekly payroll for all employees, providing exceptional support to both employees and management
• Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, along with company policies and legal requirements
• Prepare and review payroll reports, ensuring all hours, bonuses, commissions, and deductions are correctly calculated
• Maintain employee records, ensuring all personal, tax, and payroll information is up to date
• Collaborate with HR and management to verify and update employee status changes (e.g., promotions, terminations, new hires)
• Manage payroll taxes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and filings and registrations
• Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees in a professional and efficient manner
• Assist in the preparation of year-end reports, including W-2s and other compliance documentation
• Support the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems, identifying areas for optimization
• Assist in completion of annual audit and/or review requirements related to all payroll processes
Qualifications and Capabilities
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Some payroll processing experience preferred, but not required
• Understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Multi-State/Multi-EIN experience preferred
• Experience with accounting software Net Suite and UKG preferred but not required
• Strong Excel skills required
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
