Net Zero Data Specialist at Meta in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Summary: Meta's Net Zero team drives sustainability strategy, programs and engagement across the company and with our partners. We seek an experienced Net Zero Data Specialist to join the team to ensure that we have the processes and procedures developed for climate risks assessments and risk mitigation measures and that we have the infrastructure to accurately measure our emissions and our progress towards being Net Zero by 2030. You will work to increase internal standards across our net zero work streams to ensure quality alignment for data collection, processes, and reporting. Required Skills: Net Zero Data Specialist Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement processes and procedures for climate risks assessments and risk mitigation measures 2. Support the annual corporate environmental data inventory, including greenhouse gas emissions, calculation, compilation, verification, and publication 3. Develop and operationalize standardized policies and processes for climate-related data collection and reporting 4. Prepare climate data and risks documentation for external auditors 5. Collect and analyze third-party environmental data 6. Validate climate-related data with internal stakeholders 7. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, including financial and ROI modeling, to support multiple Net Zero strategies 8. Enable effective data management and strategic decision making by building databases, dashboards, and tools 9. providing easily understood visuals and reports on a diverse set of topics 10. Track progress against targets and benchmark performance against internal KPIs and stakeholder expectations. 11. Guide cross-functional teams in the development and/or optimization of data and process flows from data sources through disclosures Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 12. BA or BS degree in social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, accounting, statistics, environment and/or sustainability focused degree 13. 5+ years of experience working with greenhouse gas emissions data and climate risks assessments in the corporate context 14. Understanding of current practices and trends in greenhouse gas emissions, climate risks, broader sustainability reporting 15. Experience working with external reporting standards such as CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB, etc 16.
