Job Description
Alignerr is seeking a Natural Resource Conservation Scientist to evaluate and enhance AI systems in environmental science. This fully remote role involves reviewing conservation science questions, assessing AI-generated content, and providing structured feedback. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in natural resource conservation or a related field. The position offers flexible hours, ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $30–55 per hour.

AI is rapidly expanding into environmental science — and it needs experts like you to get it right. We're looking for experienced natural resource conservation scientists to evaluate and improve AI systems trained on environmental science, land management, and conservation decision-making.
Your field knowledge will directly shape how AI understands ecosystems, interprets conservation data, and recommends land management strategies. This is a unique opportunity to influence cutting-edge AI development while working fully remotely on your own schedule.

What You'll Do
Review conservation science questions and real-world scenarios used in AI training datasetsEvaluate the scientific accuracy of AI-generated content related to land use, ecosystems, soil health, water systems, and biodiversityAssess whether AI-generated recommendations reflect sound, real-world conservation practicesProvide clear, structured feedback to improve scientific reasoning and AI outputsWork independently and asynchronously to complete task-based assignments on your schedule
Who You Are
3+ years of professional experience in natural resource conservation, environmental science, or a closely related fieldStrong working knowledge of ecosystems, land management principles, and conservation practicesAble to critically evaluate scientific reasoning and applied conservation recommendationsComfortable reviewing structured written content and delivering detailed, actionable feedbackSelf-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
Master's degree or PhD in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related disciplineHands-on fieldwork or applied conservation experienceFamiliarity with AI systems, content evaluation workflows, or scientific writing
