EnergyAustralia is seeking a Mine Controls & Systems Officer for the Yallourn Power Station in Victoria, Australia. About the Role

As our new Mine Controls and Systems Officer at Yallourn Power Station, you’ll maintain and develop OT systems to ensure the smooth running of coal mining operations as part of a collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a key energy project while building your career in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Perform fault servicing and planned maintenance of electrical, electronic, and OT-related equipment to ensure efficient operations within the Yallourn Open Cut.
• Modify, test, and maintain hardware/software systems, electrical, and electronic equipment based on skills and project requirements.
• Assist with commissioning new equipment and systems to optimize plant performance.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports on equipment performance and test results.
• Support the management and implementation of IT-based software, server infrastructure, and networking/security within the OT environment.
• Collaborate with teams to share knowledge and improve OT infrastructure across various teams.

About You
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Mechatronics, Engineering (Software/Computer Systems/Electrical) or related field.
• Knowledge or experience with PLC systems (preferably Allen Bradley) and Industrial Electrical Control Systems.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems, GIS, SQL, data management, and IT scripting (e.g., Powershell, Python).
• Understanding of IT/OT networking, including Firewall, switch, VLAN, wireless, and routing configuration.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
