Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MicroStation Drafting Technician to join our land survey team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD drafting and design, with proficiency in MicroStation and TopoDOT. This role involves performing advanced CAD assignments, coordinating drafting efforts, and providing training for less-experienced drafters. The technician will work on city projects and Department of Transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform mid-level to advanced CAD drafting and design duties using MicroStation and TopoDOT.
• Coordinate drafting efforts and provide guidance to less-experienced drafters.
• Create and update all types of drawings, including engineering and construction plans.
• Run calculations and ensure accuracy in all drafting work.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
• Provide training and support for new or less-experienced employees.
Travel to job sites for observation and to perform field work as needed, in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

You Bring To The Team
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
• Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in CAD drafting with experience in civil engineering or related fields
• Proficiency in MicroStation, TopoDOT, and SolidWorks required
• Knowledge of trigonometry
• Valid driver's license with a good driving history
• Basic understanding of land surveying principles preferred
