Job Description
Green Plains is seeking a Marketing Manager to oversee the Fluid Quip Technologies brand, ensuring brand integrity and managing marketing initiatives. Responsibilities include developing marketing strategies, managing budgets, coordinating visual communications, and supporting product launches. The role involves collaboration with sales and communications teams, overseeing advertising content, and analyzing market data. This position is based in Cedar Rapids, IA and is not remote.
Job Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall brand of Fluid Quip Technologies (FQT), its marketed products, and maintains brand integrity across all company marketing initiatives and communications, while managing a portfolio of projects. The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Sales. The Marketing Manager oversees the brand strategy, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, and brand vision for short as well as long term company priorities. The Marketing Manager also coordinates and executes all visual communications and media actions on all relevant channels, including online and social media. The Marketing Manager assists with product development and new product launches, creates and oversees promotional collateral to establish and maintain consistent product branding, and manages creative contracts for advertising and promotional items. Key elements of the job include researching the marketplace to determine how to best present the company or product along with identifying where the product or company best fits; developing marketing and advertising strategies and assisting in managing any outsourced contract or budgets; helping create copy, designs, and layouts for print, and digital advertising concepts, creating signage and collateral; ensuring continuity of image and messaging across all subsidiaries; and overseeing promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manages a variety of marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and products
• Develops and owns marketing budget and spend
• Leads the development of long-term and short-term marketing strategies and plans; ensuring integrity in brand assets with parent organization
• Serves as the lead across all other marketing functions — both in brand strategy, promotion and creative. Provides brand review for all marketing content and ensures it is in line with overall brand positioning and voice.
• Regularly meets with sales, marketing and communications teams for FQT to determine branding needs and goals
• Serves as a liaison between all marketing teams and the FQT leadership team to relay all developing branding projects and campaigns
• Writes and posts press releases. Oversees and manages the relationship with industry organizations communications teams, industry media outlets, and PR newswire as needed
• Writes and reviews advertising and marketing copy as well as articles and interviews for messaging and accuracy
• Manages the website including all branding, content, and updates
• Analyzes social and web analytics to support informed decisions on brand strategy and execution
• Collaborates and supports the sales team to provide marketing materials as needed for new and existing product/client opportunities
• Integrates into the sales process as necessary to ensure messaging and brand strategy are aligned with the industry expectations
• Supports integration of marketing tools with SalesForce to provide client engagement data for sales team
• Provides marketing leadership across all new product launches
• Oversees the coordination of external agency partners on the development, design and production of creative assets, along with managing contracts and spending
• Actively gathers relevant data, analyzes and presents brand against industry competitors
• Acts as lead digital content and social media creator, and expands oversight to subsidiaries to ensure continuity
• Builds and manages a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to FQT owned properties (including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, videos, webinars, infographics, etc.)
• Leads all aspects of executing marketing events, tradeshows, customer events, and partner sessions. This includes site selection, negotiating contracts, banquet orders, assigning speakers, ordering gifts/giveaways, off-site coordination of logistics, invitation development, emailing invitations, and tracking follow-up activities to measure results of the event (ROI)
Qualifications:
• Qualified experience that displays the knowledge, intuitiveness, and leadership qualities of marketing/communications experience in a non-digital, technical, engineering, or manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Email automation tools, and marketing/sales software such as SalesForce, Adobe Creative Suite, and Word Press
• Excellent communicator with cross functional teams
• Demonstrated experience in developing content and managing communications across various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
• Experience in developing and managing website content
• Creative thinker with the ability to use and balance data and communications intuition to make decisions
• Self-motivated problem-solving skills with a desire to improve and establish new processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in visual and written communications
• Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or relevant field

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Performing typical office duties
• Travel of 15-25% is expected at various times with this position
