About
The Role
As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to high-voltage and low-voltage electrical assemblies, wiring, manufacturing and mechanical assemblies. Your knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical systems will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
• High-voltage and Low-voltage Electrical Assemblies:
Perform assembly and wiring of electrical components, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, following engineering diagrams and specifications. Ensure proper installation, routing, and termination of electrical wiring and connections.
• Mechanical Assemblies:
Carry out the assembly and integration of mechanical components, including but not limited to: motors, gears, belts, pulleys, and other mechanical parts. Use hand and power tools to assemble, adjust, and align components according to engineering specifications.
• Quality Control:
Conduct thorough inspections and tests on completed assemblies to verify functionality, identify any defects or discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
• Documentation and Reporting:
Accurately document completion in assembly processes, measurements, adjustments, and test results. Generate reports detailing any issues or improvements identified during the assembly and testing phases.
• Equipment Maintenance:
Assist in the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment and tools. Notify appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions or issues that may impact production.
• Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Follow company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and guidelines, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, supervisors, and other technicians, to optimize manufacturing processes and address any technical challenges or issues that arise. Communicate effectively and proactively to ensure smooth workflow and efficient problem-solving.
• Continuous improvement through education and/or training, as required.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Interest in working with electrical and mechanical components, tools, and equipment commonly used in manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build assemblies based on color coded wiring diagrams.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience
• Technical certifications or vocational training in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, machine shop or assembly work.
• Previous experience in operating production machines.
• Basic knowledge of commonly used tools, such as: drills, hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
