Job Description

Bloom Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the night shift in Delaware City, DE. This on-site role involves overseeing production teams, ensuring safety and efficiency, and implementing standardized work practices. The supervisor will manage team schedules, coordinate with other departments, and lead performance management. Candidates should have supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Manufacturing Manager and based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities:


Oversee team leads, team members, and other resources in achieving the production schedule while improving Safety, Quality, and EfficiencySupervise and motivate a manufacturing team to create a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvementCreate, document, and sustain Standardized Work practicesDevelop and implement production scalability, workflow plansImplement new assembly process and operationsInitiate and facilitate problem solving groups to resolve issues in order to meet the current and future needs of the companyAchieve quality and productivity metricsCoordinate with Warehouse, Quality, and FIT to ensure production needs are metManage team members work schedule, time off, and department allocationDevelop employee versatility plansLead Performance Management Process and provide recommendations for compensation changesManage any disciplinary actions requiredInitiate, coordinate, and manage inventory cost control programsPrepare and maintain production reportsManage dashboards for information visualization and decision makingUtilize data to pin-point root cause of defects and production challengesCreate and maintain Training Program, Safety Program, Workgroup boards, Continuous Improvement Projects, etc. and utilize tools such as A3's, 8-Step, RAIL's.Enforce all safety policies to promote a safe and inclusive work groupDevelop and implement 5S and housekeeping programsAchieve technical training and versatility required to obtain domain expertiseFlexibility to work on any of the shifts, or in any area of the plant, based on production needsPerforms other related duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operations environmentExperience working with production systems; scale up manufacturing, volume production, linear production, using continuous improvement/TPS/Lean manufacturing methodsProficient with interviewing, training, developing, and handling disciplinary mattersComputer systems knowledge including proficiency with MS Office programsStrong data analysis and data driven decision making skillsResourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to 1st level floor issues with regards to equipment, process, or manpowerExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and tact needed to interact with all levels in the plantOrganized with good planning and time management skills

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shiftOccasionally lift/carry up to 25-50 lbsUse hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shiftVisual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materialsHearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staffAbility to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation

Salary Ranges:
$74,600.00 - $107,400.00
