JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician

Status: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager DATE PREPARED: October 2023

A. JOB SUMMARY:

Maintenance Technician is assigned to perform maintenance which includes areas of expertise in electrical-mechanical maintenance and installation, instrumentation, controls and repair. Primary goal is to assure safe and efficient production by responding to changing conditions in a timely manner. ON THE JOB TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.

B. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (responsibilities or duties):

1. Instrumentation and Electrical repair and troubleshooting.

2. Trouble shooting and repair of pumps / auto valves.

3. Performing preventative maintenance.

4. Determines malfunctioning units by observing control instruments, such as meters and gauges or by automatic warning signals.

5. Inspects equipment to determine location and nature of malfunction such as leaks, breakages, faulty valve and pumps.

6. Lubricates equipment

C. QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School Diploma or GED required with preference of Maintenance Tech Degree

2. Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and care

3. Experience with Arc and MIG-Tig welding

4. Strong electrical experience

5. Mechanical background with bearing changes, pumps, conveyors, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps and work heights
• Regularly exposed to dusty conditions and high noise environments
• While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
