THE JOB
We are seeking a National Sustainability Coordinator to support the implementation of the Green Nation environmental Charter across our U.S. venue portfolio. Reporting to the Sustainability Operations Manager, you will assist in deploying, coordinating, and improving regional strategies and localized action plans aligned with national objectives. Your responsibilities include supporting regional and venue sustainability teams, updating educational and training materials, leading sustainability trainings, conducting venue site visits to identify improvement opportunities, coordinating weekly calls with regional leads, and compiling sustainability metrics. A key focus will be on material circularity targets such as waste reduction, reuse, and efficiency, though other sustainability objectives may also be part of your role.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Regional Venue Support:
• Coordinate regional and venue teams, executing daily tasks to support venue development, training, and improvements.
• Maintain and expand a centralized resource repository to scale sustainability solutions across venues.
• Implement a venue support model, including monthly and bi-weekly meetings, office hours, 1:1s, and preparing gap and progress reports.
• Identify common challenges across venues and coordinate tools and resources to support improvements.
• Support venue crews during major events as needed.
Design, Innovation, and Storytelling:
• Assist in implementing programming, technologies, and innovations across regions and venue types.
• Gather and assess innovative solutions from various regions for feasibility and growth opportunities.
• Support artist activations and engagements, such as Green Riders, across regions.
• Collaborate with creative teams on presentations, digital content, and onsite assets.
• Coordinate submissions to recognition systems.
Administrative and Analytical Support:
• Coordinate pre-season venue resources, including toolkits, signage, procurement guides, and educational programs.
• Support cross-departmental projects during the season.
• Assist in onboarding new and returning venue personnel.
• Help manage venue data tracking systems (energy, water, waste, surveys).
• Summarize analytics into clear reports for leadership review.
Venue Travel and Assessments:
• Travel to venues for audits, assessments, major projects, and artist activations as requested.
• Manage travel budgets, with up to 20% travel anticipated during peak seasons.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• At least 2 years of experience in operations, event coordination, or sustainability initiatives related to events or campuses.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in data analytics, supply chain, waste systems, marketing, built environment, energy, NGO partnerships, or climate resiliency.
• Solid understanding of environmental concepts and their impact on the live entertainment industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with ability to analyze data and create engaging reports.
• Experience with SharePoint, Google Drive, and Asana for program management.
• Strong time management, prioritization, and independent work skills.
• Excellent communication skills adaptable to various stakeholders.
• Creative problem-solving skills and good judgment.
• Team-oriented with program execution abilities.
• Willingness to travel, including weekends.
