Job Description

Stryten Energy is seeking a Lead Commodity Specialist in Alpharetta, GA, responsible for executing commodity strategies, monitoring inventories, and liaising with suppliers and operations. Key tasks include issuing planning schedules, preparing reports, managing purchase orders, and ensuring inventory levels are maintained. Candidates should have at least 3 years of supply chain experience and strong analytical skills. This position requires onsite work five days a week.
Overview

The commodity specialist role will ensure the successful execution of the commodity strategy and planning set forth by the Strategic Sourcing team. This includes monitoring inventories, and working with Stryten Energy plants as well as suppliers. The commodity specialist will report to the Director of Raw Materials Commodities.

Responsibilities
• Execute on the strategic business plan for Strategic Sourcing
• Act as main liaison between suppliers and Stryten Energy operations to ensure optimal supply solutions
• Issue both the 80% and 100% Planning Schedules to the Battery Plants and Lead Smelters on a weekly and timely basis
• Prepare the Supply and Demand Lead Planning Reports as needed
• Back up certain tasks from the Director, Raw Materials Commodities
• Responsible for executing PO placement to suppliers and coordinating deliveries of lead (Pb) and other raw materials to Stryten Energy factories
• Responsible for working with Motrex Logistics to address any shipment delays or issues concerning lead
• Responsible for reviewing supplier invoices for accuracy and reconciling any discrepancies. Analytical and detail oriented tools essential.
• Responsible for monitoring lead inventory levels to ensure that applicable min/max levels are maintained
• Serve as primary back up to both the Lead Senior Buyer, Recycling in Strategic Sourcing as well as the Senior Lead Planner.ing leader
• Manage the Eagle/ERCO receipts from the swap Agreement
• Special Projects as required.
• Streamline manual process/reports into Tableau reports
• Perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job

Qualifications
• College degree preferred
• At least 3 years of supply chain experience in manufacturing or procurement
• High analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to interact cross-functionally to achieve goals
• Respond to the unique needs of individual factories or facilities
• Seek feedback from suppliers and internal customers to identify improvement opportunities.
• Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite
• Adaptability to business needs and evolving strategies
• The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Position is based in Alpharetta, GA and requires you to work onsite 5 days per week.Travel
