Our client, a renowned architectural firm celebrated for its innovative and sustainable designs, is seeking a Lead Architectural Designer to join their team. This position offers a remote work arrangement, allowing talented professionals to contribute from anywhere in the US. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing and developing designs for groundbreaking projects, with a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility and cutting-edge architectural principles. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional creativity, a deep understanding of sustainable design practices, and proven leadership skills in guiding design teams.
Responsibilities include leading design development from conceptualization through to construction documentation, ensuring design integrity and adherence to project briefs. You will collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to translate visions into functional and aesthetically compelling spaces. A strong focus will be placed on integrating sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems, and biophilic design elements into all projects. Proficiency in advanced architectural design software, including BIM platforms (e.g., Revit), is essential. You will mentor junior designers, foster a collaborative design environment, and contribute to the firm's reputation for design excellence. This remote role demands excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a passion for pushing the boundaries of sustainable architecture. Proactive engagement with design trends and technologies is highly valued.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Architecture or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on sustainable and innovative projects. Licensed Architect (RA) or equivalent professional accreditation. Proven experience leading design teams and managing complex architectural projects. Expertise in sustainable design principles, LEED accreditation preferred. Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software. Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methodologies. Exceptional conceptual design skills and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics. Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
