Job Description
EWI Recruitment is seeking a Junior Quality Inspector for onshore wind turbine projects in the UK. This entry-level role involves conducting quality inspections, reporting findings, and supporting senior QA personnel on active construction sites. Candidates should have around 6 months of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills. A full UK driving license is preferred, and the position offers potential for career growth in renewable energy.
We are looking for a Junior Quality Inspector to support quality control activities on onshore wind turbine projects across the UK. This position is ideal for someone early in their career with a keen eye for detail, a practical mindset, and a desire to build experience in renewable energy.
You will assist with inspections, documentation, and reporting, working closely with senior QA personnel to ensure site activities and turbine components meet required standards. This is a field‑based role on active construction sites.
Key ResponsibilitiesInspection & Quality ChecksCarry out on‑site quality inspections of turbine components, materials, and work processes.Identify and report defects, deviations, or non‑conformities in line with project standards.Use basic measurement tools and follow structured inspection checklists.Reporting & DocumentationCapture inspection findings clearly and accurately, including photographs and written notes.Support preparation of daily reports, quality records, and issue logs.Maintain organised, accurate documentation for audit readiness.Site SupportAssist with quality procedures during turbine installation and assembly phases.Communicate issues to supervisors promptly and clearly.Follow all site safety requirements, maintaining tidy QA work areas.RequirementsAround 6+ months experience in quality, inspection, construction, manufacturing, or a similar hands‑on environment.Ability to follow quality procedures and use inspection tools/checklists.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Good communication skills and ability to work within a site team.Comfortable working on active construction sites and travelling between locations.Must be a British national with unrestricted right to work in the UK.Full UK driving licence preferred.What's on OfferEntry‑level quality role with long‑term development potential.Exposure to major UK renewable energy infrastructure projects.Training and support from senior QA teams.Opportunity to build a career in the wind energy sector.
