Invenergy LLC is offering a Summer 2025 Internship in Finance & Capital Markets in Chicago, IL. Interns will gain hands-on experience, engage with company leaders, and learn about the clean energy industry. Responsibilities include developing financial models and supporting financing transactions. Candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program with a focus on Finance or Economics. The internship lasts 10-12 weeks, from June to August.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM – Summer 2025 Internship

As an intern at Invenergy, you will have the opportunity to:
• Expand your knowledge and skills while gaining hands-on professional experience
• Engage with leaders throughout the organization and learn about the clean energy industry through weekly lunch-and-learns.
• Visit our nearby power plants: Grand Ridge Energy Center and Nelson Energy Center
• Spend a day giving back to the community with our ‘Volunteer Time Off’ program
• Have lunch with our CEO and Founder, Michael Polsky
• Attend a networking mixer to learn more about and engage with representatives from our various affinity groups (Women’s Network, LGBTQ+, Black & Brown, Veteran’s Network, & more!)
• Explore Chicago with your fellow interns
• Our program takes place from June – August lasting for 10-12 weeks

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

The Finance & Capital Markets (US Renewables) team is responsible for structuring and managing all external capital raising initiatives supporting the company’s growing fleet of wind, solar, storage, and green hydrogen projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Develop and manage financial models to analyze the economic merits of a project
• Synthesize and communicate model outputs and results to senior management and external stakeholders
• Support due diligence and closing process for financing transactions including coordination with internal teams and external financial partners
• Potential to lead and own special research or organizational project pending specific needs at the time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and Summer 2026.
• Majoring in Finance, Economics, or other business related discipline

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Demonstrated interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector.
