Job Description
Maryland Environmental Service is hiring a full-time Inspector for the Poplar Island Environmental Restoration Project in Maryland. Responsibilities include monitoring spillways, preparing reports, and operating crew vessels in various weather conditions. Related experience is preferred but not required, and training will be provided. The position requires shift work and overtime. Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an immediate opening for a full-time Inspector at the Poplar Island Environmental Restoration Project located in the Chesapeake Bay near Tilghman Island in Talbot County, Maryland.This field position requires getting there by facility crew vessels and working in a variety of weather conditions.
Primary responsibilities include monitoring and operating spillways, preparing reports, performing facility maintenance, and operating facility crew vessels. Related experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Shift work and overtime are required during some operational periods.
Estimated Pay Range:
$43,909.83 - $49,000

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus one year of work experience related to the option for which application is made. Note: Applicants may substitute 2 years of related education beyond HS level for required work experience. Other requirements include the ability to pass a standard physical examination, ability to lift 50 pounds, and possession of a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
