Industrial Plant Designer for Sustainable Green Hydrogen

Thyssenkrupp Nucera Italy S.R.L. is seeking an Industrial Plant Designer for Sustainable Green Hydrogen in Milan. Thyssenkrupp Nucera Italy S.R.L., the Italian branch of a global company, specializes in designing and supplying electrochemical plants for green hydrogen, chlorine, and caustic soda production. With over 20 years of experience, we offer new-build and service solutions worldwide.

The Engineering Department is looking for a skilled designer to work on basic and detailed engineering projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with external suppliers, follow up on outsourced engineering tasks, and interact with the Project Execution Department for project management and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing plant layouts and developing 3D models of piping systems, structures, and other components;
- Creating single-line designs for metallic structures and drafting 2D technical drawings;
- Coordinating detailed engineering carried out by external companies and checking subcontractor documentation;
- Participating in technical meetings, conducting inspections at suppliers' workshops, and collaborating in assembly, commissioning, and start-up activities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- 3-5 years of experience as an industrial plant designer;
- Proficiency in IT tools like Word, Excel, and AUTOCAD;
- Knowledge of 3D piping modeling software (E3D by Aveva);
- Excellent written and spoken English skills;
- Availability for short trips within Italy and abroad;
- Strong willingness to learn, proactivity, and ability to work effectively in teams.
