Job Description

Bioenergy Devco is seeking an Industrial Plant Administrative Assistant for its new anaerobic digestion facility in Jessup, MD. The role involves providing clerical support, managing communications, maintaining records, overseeing supply orders, and assisting with employee onboarding. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 3 years of relevant administrative experience. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook 365 are required.
Bioenergy Devco is in search of an organized and adaptable Industrial Administrative Assistant for our brand new, growing anaerobic digestion (AD) facility in Jessup, MD. This position will provide clerical support to keep plant operations running smoothly. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will be efficient, able to handle competing deadlines, requires follow through on commitments and a strong attention for details.

Responsibilities
• Serve as initial point of contact for visitors, greeting individuals visiting the facility and directing them to follow proper sign-in and safety protocols, and provide PPE where necessary
• Answer main phone line and manage incoming calls appropriately; provide callers with directions and information as needed.
• Record and maintain accurate records, entering ticket loads into spreadsheets and accounting software with attention to detail to maintain data integrity
• Support procurement, deliveries, and shipments.
• Oversee the ordering, tracking, and replenishment of office supplies, PPE, and other essential materials to ensure smooth operations. Maintain relationships with vendors, and manage purchase orders while monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
• Assist with internal/external office courier, shipping, or mail services.
• Monitor incoming documents, messages, and take action to resolve issues and/or meet other deadlines.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and communications as needed.
• Coordinate on-site plant events, including meals for meetings if needed.
• Maintain office supply inventories and manage purchase card accounts per company standards
• Provide administrative support to include assisting with employee onboarding, creating timecards, coordinate employee engagement activities. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the responsibilities of this position, especially safety and HR-related information
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, advocate for and promote a safe work environment, and ensure others to do the same.

Qualifications
• High school education or equivalent.
• Preferred a minimum of 3 years administrative experience, ideally in a plant or industrial environment.
• Strong ability to engage with employees and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Must have excellent working knowledge in the Microsoft Outlook 365 Suite of programs.
• Must have strong communication skills and strong work ethic, must have a team player attitude, have the drive to follow through on commitments, proved detail-oriented experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations.
• Independently capable of seeking information, solving problems, corralling resources, and delivering results.
• Capable of data entry into various software systems.

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the time worked. You will be expected to wear safety gear if walking around the facility, this gear is also provided.
• Must be able to withstand exposure to odorous conditions, as the position requires you to work around and with landfill and organic waste.
