Job Description

The Process Operator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the biodiesel production facility. This includes performing daily tasks such as taking field readings, operating equipment, and carrying out cleaning duties. The individual will also be responsible for diagnosing faults affecting facility conditions and communicating directly with the Shift Leader to coordinate repairs and maintenance requirements.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Process Operator will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure production targets are being maintained while meeting all quality parameters for the finished product. The individual will also be responsible for monitoring and managing wastewater systems, sanitary and storm water systems, and operating pumps and valves.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the Process Operator must have a strong understanding of chemical manufacturing operations and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. The individual must also be able to communicate effectively with the Shift Leader and other team members, as well as work independently to diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and previous experience working in a chemical plant or similar environment. The individual should also have excellent mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems. A working knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and the Internet is also required.
