DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environment Leader to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our KY, Florence location.
Job Summary:
Implement and sustain a positive health, safety and environmental culture through the application of the management systems framework in site(s) with low complexity. This includes establishing the short term and long-term strategic plan for the site to foster continual health, safety and environmental Improvement, leading programs, policies and assessments and monitoring performance to ensure compliance with Cummins internal requirements, applicable health, safety and environmental regulations and industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Build Strong Relationships: Foster collaboration across functions to ensure everyone understands their roles and is committed to a positive health, safety, and environmental culture.
• Engage Employees: Consult with employees and involve them in developing and implementing programs, policies, and procedures.
• Lead Risk Assessment Programs: Identify strategic risk improvement opportunities and gaps in compliance through hazard and environmental aspect identification and risk assessment.
• Manage Planning Actions: Set targets and objectives for the site and oversee actions to ensure they are completed effectively.
• Develop and Maintain Support Content: Ensure all support content is up-to-date, controlled, and accessible while adhering to data privacy regulations.
• Interface with Regulatory Bodies: Work with external regulatory bodies, supported by the legal department, to ensure compliance and address any issues.
• Drive Daily Operations: Lead daily health, safety, and environmental operations, providing support to solve issues related to compliance, resource management, risk reduction, and more.
• Improve Performance Metrics: Use a risk-based and data-driven approach to drive improvements in health, safety, and environmental performance metrics.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree required. Health, Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred. Professional certification in HSE-related field preferred.
Experience:
Intermediate level of experience required, including experience in management of health, safety and environmental ISO Standards required. Minimal management experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with ISO 14001 & 45011 audits is a plus.
• 1-3 years leadership experience.
• Onsite position.
