About us


Coyote Family Farm is an established 3-acre organic market farm supplying our community through our farm share program, local wholesale, and farmers market. We grow a wide variety of high-quality produce and flowers all year in a beautiful setting at the foot of Sonoma Mountain. We manage our fields and care for our soil thoughtfully and with regenerative practices. We are community-oriented and value good communication and our close working relationships on the farm. We are producer-members of FEED Cooperative. Farm is located conveniently halfway between Petaluma and Santa Rosa, and only five minutes from Cotati/Rohnert Park.


We are seeking an energetic field crew member with significant harvest experience to join our team. New crew member will work closely with returning farm crew and the owner/farm manager.


Position Details


Full-time April-November, with the possibility for year-round employment.


$20-$23/hr starting wage DOE.

One week PTO per calendar year, one week additional PTO starts accruing after 6 months of employment


This crew member will focus on efficient harvest and packing of high-quality produce. Ideally will be prepared to take on inventory management and coordinate busy harvest/pack days. Specific tasks include harvesting a wide variety of produce and flowers consistently and quickly, training supplemental harvest help on timing and quality standards, and effective prioritizing during busy periods. Will assist a few hours per week with production tasks, e.g. transplanting and cultivation. This is a position requiring a fast pace with a focus on accuracy and quality.


Skills and Qualifications


Motivated to contribute to the success of an ecological market farm


At least one full season on a production farm; ability to meet time benchmarks and quality standards for harvest


Capable (physically and mentally) of repetitive physical work in a variety of weather conditions: cold, heat, wind, rain.


Able to lift 50lb occasionally and 30lb regularly without strain.


Able to stand, squat, and bend repeatedly and for extended periods.


Able to follow and retain written and verbal instructions and respond to feedback.


Able to work as a team and communicate in real time about the work at hand.


Able to work independently and maintain energy and focus.


Oriented toward effectiveness at work (i.e. enjoy working efficiently and considering new solutions)


Able and desire to maintain attention to detail at a fast, steady pace


Familiar with quality standards of a variety of produce and flower crops


Able to meet harvest and washing time benchmarks without sacrificing quality


Participate actively in weekly and daily meetings


Contribute to a positive, energetic work environment


Keep the workplace clean and organized


Perform accurate record-keeping as appropriate to their role.
