Habitat Restoration Field Technician, Oakland

RECON Environmental is seeking a Habitat Restoration Field Technician in San Diego, CA. The role involves physical tasks such as planting, weeding, and construction work in varying terrains. Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds and work in fluctuating temperatures. Knowledge of California native plants is preferred but not required. • Planting, hand-weeding, trash clearing, raking, salvaging of plant material

trenching and erosion control, hauling rocks, and any other miscellaneous
construction work.
• Must be able to stoop, stand and bend for extended periods of time and work on

uneven and/or difficult terrain in environments of fluctuating temperatures.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to use required equipment such as line

trimmers, spray equipment, etc.
• Knowledge of California native plants is highly desirable although not required

(training will be provided if necessary to applicants willing and eager to acquire
plant identification skills).

Salary: $20.00 DOE
