Job Introduction
Take on a high-impact global role as a Global Category Manager for Food Packaging, driving strategic sourcing across key packaging areas including disposables, reusables, sustainable packaging solutions, and foodservice packaging formats. You will shape the global packaging strategy, influence senior stakeholders across regions, and lead major European sourcing initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful commercial impact while championing innovation, sustainability, and next-generation packaging solutions within the foodservice sector.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and deliver global packaging category strategies that enhance performance, improve cost efficiency, and support long-term business sustainability goals.Partner with senior regional stakeholders to align packaging needs, drive standardisation, and unlock cross-regional commercial value.Use packaging market intelligence—including material trends, legislation, and supplier innovation—to identify opportunities and strengthen competitiveness.Build and manage strategic partnerships with leading packaging suppliers across Europe.Lead commercial negotiations, secure strong contractual terms, and ensure compliance with global procurement best practice.Apply data-driven insights (volume consolidation, spec optimisation, cost-driver analysis) to improve decision-making and deliver measurable savings.Champion innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, including recyclable, compostable, and reusable formats, to position the business as a leader in responsible foodservice packaging.Ideal Candidate
Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field; MCIPS preferred.Strong procurement background in packaging (foodservice packaging, disposables, reusables, or FMCG food packaging highly advantageous).Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into hands-on delivery.Skilled influencer with strong stakeholder engagement experience across multiple markets.Strong analytical mindset with excellent commercial acumen.Passionate about sustainability, packaging innovation, and continuous improvement.Fluent in English; additional languages an advantage.This is a rare opportunity to step into a global, high-profile procurement role within the Food Packaging space, shaping category strategy across regions and influencing key commercial decisions.
