Sovereign Consulting Inc., a rapidly growing environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ, is seeking a Geologist / Environmental Scientist (1-3 years of experience) for its Hauppauge, NY location. This position will require travel within New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Responsibilities include:


Groundwater monitoring and well sampling using various sampling techniquesOversight of soil borings, monitoring well installations, and underground storage tank removalSoil vapor intrusion investigations and indoor /outdoor air samplingPreparation of analytical data tables and graphsAssist with report preparation
Requirements:
1-3 years of environmental consulting related experience is requiredA Bachelors or Masters degree in Geology or Environmental Science requiredOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification required, and current 8-hour refresher preferredDemonstrated technical writing skillsMust have excellent communication, analytical, and field sampling skillsExperience with field meters (oil/water interface probe, PID, water quality meters)Ability to work in a team environmentWilling to travel primarily within New York State

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
