Sodexo is seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager for our client in Chicago Illinois, this General Manager will oversee food service and catering operations. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring consistency in service quality, and fostering innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate food service operations, financial acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences with a focus on user experience, efficiency, and hospitality.
This location is open for Breakfast and Lunch Monday – Friday and provides catering service five days a week inclusive of evening events. This position requires overnight travel to Detroit once per quarter.
What You'll Do
• Oversight and continued innovation of the café, catering and food delivery
• Tracking and maintaining Sodexo systems, financial outcomes, and client satisfaction
• Innovation of the retail offerings, marketing plans and catering sustainable practices
• Develop and maintain high level client and customer relationships

What You Bring
• Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and client relations skills with the ability to work both horizontally & vertically in the organization
• Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference, quality and presentation of food, customer service
• Have strong financial acumen, experience writing and managing budgets
• Be service focused– including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment
• Have Food and Beverage or catering experience including executive dining and a deep understanding of the technical delivery aspect of catering
