Waste Management Manager

Sodexo is seeking a Waste Management Manager in Canada to oversee compliance, waste collection, billing, and contractor operations. The role involves ensuring regulatory adherence, managing waste-related projects, and implementing sustainability initiatives. Candidates should have 3-5 years of waste management experience, strong leadership skills, and project management abilities. Key Responsibilities
• Monitor Compliance & Performance: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure wastewater and stormwater compliance, along with managing waste-related projects.
• Waste Collection & Disposal Guidance: Provide expertise on proper waste collection and disposal practices to maintain environmental and regulatory standards.
• Billing & Financial Oversight: Ensure accurate billing and timely payments related to waste management services.
• Regulatory Compliance & Site Adherence: Ensure all waste management activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Client Representation & Expertise: Act as Sodexo’s waste management expert in client meetings, providing subject matter insights and recommendations.
• Contractor Oversight: Supervise waste contractors’ operations on-site to ensure safe and efficient waste management practices.
• Contract Management: Maintain and update waste management contracts to align with evolving business needs.
• Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports related to hazardous waste activities at local, state, and federal levels.
• Waste Reduction Initiatives: Investigate, develop, and implement waste minimization programs to enhance sustainability efforts.
• Sustainability Program Implementation: Lead the execution of sustainability initiatives to support corporate environmental goals.
• Regulatory Audit Support: Assist site management during regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring full compliance.
