Field Hydrologist

AboitizPower is seeking a Field Hydrologist in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. The role involves hydrological analyses, GIS mapping, and data management to enhance inflow forecasting for production planning and operations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Hydrology, ideally with a Master's degree, and at least one year of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills and knowledge in statistics are required.
The Field Hydrologist will be responsible in providing hydrological analyses with focus on field hydrology works, GIS mapping, hydrology data management and data science for improved inflow forecasting in support to decision making in production planning optimization, market analysis, revenue generation and operations.


*Minimum Qualifications:**Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Hydrology. Preferably a Board passer. Also with preference for candidates with Master’s Degree in Water Resources Engineering or Hydrology.With at least one (1) year relevant experience in water resources engineering and hydrology.Knowledge/experience in operational hydrology, water resources engineering, hydropower plant operations and development.Physically fit and committed to field hydrology works.Background in data measurement, gathering and managementExcellent knowledge in working with Google Workspace, background in IT and computational programmingExcellent knowledge of statistics and mathematicsGood written and oral communication skillsStrong analytical skills with high comprehension abilitiesKnowledge in hydrologic modelling processes.
