Job Description
Chambers Group, Inc. is seeking a Field Biologist/Restoration Technician in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves managing habitat restoration projects, including non-native plant removal and invasive plant management. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience, strong plant identification skills, and the ability to lift 30+ lbs. The position requires teamwork, communication skills, and reliable transportation. This is a full-time position with a salary of $22–27 per hour.

Description:
We are currently seeking motivated team player to manage fieldwork with experience in habitat restoration projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Biology department with habitat restoration.
• Non-native plant removal.
• Understanding of local native and non-native vegetation.
• Ability to work productively in a team environment while also working effectively independently.
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
• Flexibility with shifting priorities.
• Invasive plant management using hand and mechanized tools and herbicides on occasion.
• Written and oral communication skills commensurate with this level of responsibility.
Job Requirements:
- Plant identification skill a plus.
- Able to lift 30+ lbs. regularly and sustainably throughout the workday.
- Reliable transportation to jobsites.
- Able to work 5 miles per day.
- Work well with supervisors and other team members.
Education and Experience
2+ years of experience in a technical field with BS/BA within a specific discipline, or equivalent years of experience, are required. Entry-level levels with MA/MS will qualify as equivalent to 1 year of experience. Has a good driving record and a valid driver’s license.
