Micron Technology is seeking a Facilities UPW & Waste Water Engineer in Singapore to oversee operations of Ultra Pure Water and waste water treatment systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and implementing sustainability projects. Candidates should have a degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, relevant coursework, and experience in water treatment. Strong communication skills and familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing are essential.

The Facilities Ultra Pure Water & Waste Water (UPW/WW) Engineer provides engineering support to oversee, plan and ensure proper operations of the Ultra Pure Water (UPW), Industrial Waste Water Plant (IWT), Fluoride Wastewater Treatment Plant (FWTP) and other water treatment systems.

Responsibilities
• He/She is expected to troubleshoot and respond to issues and interruptions of the systems.
• He/She will plan and execute Preventive and Corrective Maintenance programs for UPW, IWT, FWTP and other water treatment systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
• Identify water saving projects to achieve company’s sustainability goal
• Handle and execute UPW, IWT, FWTP and other water treatment systems engineering projects including upgrades, retrofits and expansion.
• Identify and execute water recycling projects to reduce overall water consumption.
• Identify and implement new developments for UPW and waste water systems to achieve technology breakthrough.
• Capacity tracking and planning on UPW, IWT, FWTP and other water treatment related systems.
• Identify and execute cost reduction programs for UPW and waste water systems
• Performs all works in accordance with company safety guidelines.
• Good communication and collaboration within Facilities Sections and with all customers throughout the organization.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Relevant university coursework in water treatment engineering
• Final year project includes subjects related to water
• University Internship in water related industry
• Fluent soft skills including Microsoft, Python etc
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facility systems, ability to multi-task, good communication skills, self-motivated and demonstrate excellent teamwork is essential.
