About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and organised Events Specialist to coordinate and support a variety of industry events, from careers expos and professional networking sessions to workshops and high-profile functions, including the Landscape Construction Excellence Awards program, President’s Lunch, and Women of Landscaping initiatives.
This part-time role (20 hours per week) is perfect for an experienced events professional who loves working autonomously while collaborating with industry stakeholders, sponsors and internal teams to create memorable and meaningful experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Plan & Manage Industry Events – Assist in the planning and execution of workshops, webinars, networking functions, career and school events and educational programs.
· Awards Program Coordination – Play a key role in coordinating logistics for the Landscape Construction Excellence Awards program, ensuring smooth processes and stakeholder engagement while working under the guidance of the leadership team.
· Coordinate Logistics & Suppliers – Secure venues, caterers, AV teams and other suppliers to ensure smooth event execution.
· Stakeholder & Sponsor Engagement – Build strong relationships with sponsors and partners, ensuring they receive maximum value from event sponsorships.
· Marketing & Promotion – Work with the Marketing & Communications team to promote events across social media, EDMs and industry networks.
· On-the-Day Event Management – Manage event registrations, schedules, guest lists, entertainment, volunteers and speaker coordination, ensuring an exceptional experience for all attendees.
· Budget & Financial Oversight – Manage event budgets to ensure cost-effective planning and financial objectives are met.
· Post-Event Analysis & Reporting – Gather attendee feedback, assess event success and make recommendations for future improvements.
About You
You’re a highly organised, proactive events professional with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple events and ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly.
· Event Coordination Expertise – Experience planning and delivering corporate, industry, or not-for-profit events.
· Awards Program Management – Familiarity with Award Force or similar entry management platforms is highly desirable.
· Strong Stakeholder Management – Ability to engage with sponsors, partners and industry stakeholders to create successful collaborations.
· Marketing & Communication Skills – You know how to promote events and create compelling event materials.
· Budget & Project Management – You manage multiple events efficiently while keeping costs in check.
· Problem-Solver & Adaptable Thinker – Able to troubleshoot and pivot quickly when challenges arise.
· Tech-Savvy & Detail-Oriented – Comfortable using digital tools to streamline event coordination. Experience with sending EDMs, managing registrations via online platforms, and general office software is essential, while design skills are a highly desirable bonus.
· Experience in a Not-for-Profit Organisation – Understanding of working within a member-based or NFP environment is a strong advantage.
· Passion for the Landscaping Industry (a plus!) – While not essential, an interest in the landscaping or construction industry is a bonus.
