Position Description:

Rachel Contracting is on the lookout for qualified candidates to join our team as an Estimator and Project Manager for Renewable Energy projects. We are a leading specialty site-work contractor focused on earthwork, demolition, and utilities throughout the Midwest/Central US. Key Responsibilities:

Manage estimating and project management for heavy civil scopes related to renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage facilities.Oversee cost accounting for ongoing projects, including daily/weekly cost assessments, change order reviews, monthly project cost projections, and approval of project invoicing.Facilitate effective communication with clients, field staff, office support teams, and management.Maintain organized estimating and project files to ensure efficient process management.Mentor junior estimator/project managers and seasonal interns to foster professional growth.Train and guide interns in performing takeoffs and other essential support tasks.Prepare take-offs for civil construction projects with precision.Monitor project billing and collections, represent Rachel Contracting in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, and direct field staff as needed.Actively promote relationships with existing clients while supporting efforts to develop new client partnerships.Position Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in civil or construction-related roles; a college degree is preferred but not mandatory.Strong verbal and written communication skills, paired with excellent interpersonal abilities.Proven leadership capabilities in dynamic and challenging environments.A positive, solutions-oriented approach with a strong emphasis on teamwork and success.Reliability and initiative, along with strong follow-through on all responsibilities.Exceptional organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing deadlines.Willingness to travel occasionally as required.We Offer:
