Job Description

Republic Services seeks an Environmental Sustainability Specialist in Durham, CT. Responsibilities include operating equipment for emergency response and spill clean-up, performing DOT inspections, and maintaining equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing operational functions relating to emergency response and hazardous and non-hazardous spill clean-up and Hazmat Decon work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate light and heavy equipment relating to clean-up, including: roll-off truck, vacuum truck, box trucks, skid steer, forklift, pumps and pallet-jack
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip Department of Transportation inspections
• Maintain general housekeeping, including maintenance of equipment and site
• Ability to use heavy and light equipment, such as forklift, and pallet-jack
