Job Description

Marathon Petroleum Logistics Services LLC is seeking an Environmental Specialist in West Union, WV. The role involves preparing reports, collaborating on environmental programs, conducting training, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in environmental compliance, a relevant degree or extensive experience in the field, and strong teamwork skills. This is a full-time position located on-site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, submit, external and internal reports in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and implement environmental programs, including NPDES, WVDEP AST, Waste Management, SPCC, and Air Quality.
Develop and conduct environmental training sessions for staff.
Assist with emissions testing programs for heaters and engines.
Develop working knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and best practices.
Participate in corporate environmental audits and assessments.
Provide guidance on environmental compliance to internal teams and departments.

SKILLS:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Experience in managing environmental programs related to air, water, and waste.
Proficiency in problem-solving and data analysis.
Knowledgeable in environmental compliance and procedures.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with operations personnel and regulatory agencies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required with 5 years of relevant environmental experience in a process industry (e.g. refining, midstream, petrochemical or other heavy industrial); or Bachelor's degree in a HES related field with no relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with no relevant experience
Conceptual knowledge of environmental compliance and regulatory framework
A valid Driver's License is required.
