About the position

The Environmental Site Manager (Environmental Engineer 5) position within the Toxics Cleanup Program at the Department of Ecology focuses on managing the cleanup of complex contaminated sites in Washington. The role involves reviewing and implementing remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and cleanup action plans, while providing technical support for Model Toxics Control Act sites. The position also includes mentoring other engineers and site managers, ensuring compliance monitoring, and supporting property development and real estate transactions.

Responsibilities
• Support the cleanup of large-scale, complex contaminated sites.

• Review remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and cleanup action plans.

• Implement corrective action and compliance monitoring at contaminated sites.

• Design engineering analyses to examine the fate and transport of chemical contaminants.
