Job Description

APTIM is seeking an Environmental Restoration Technician in Neihart, MT. Under a Construction Manager, the role involves outdoor physical tasks related to cleaning contaminated soils, constructing haul roads, and restoring properties. Candidates must have construction experience, be physically fit, and live within commuting distance of Neihart. A valid driver's license is required. The position is full-time with no specific degree needed.

Job Overview:

Under the supervision of a Construction Manager, employees will perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions to support the cleanup of contaminated soils near Neihart, Montana.

The work may involve constructing haul roads and installing bridges, expanding and capping on-site repositories, excavating and hauling contaminated materials from streams and properties, and restoring properties to their original state.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Employees will be responsible for climbing ladders, digging holes and trenches, cleaning up construction debris, loading and unloading construction materials from trucks manually or with lifting equipment.

They will also remove, fill, or compact earth, hand dig around foundations and utilities, pour concrete, lay asphalt, handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials, operate hand tools and power tools, and properly dispose of debris and waste materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates must live within a daily commute of Neihart, MT, be able to work outside in all types of weather, have at least one year of experience in construction and/or environmental project work, possess physical strength, stamina, flexibility, and dexterity, and be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are also required. Applicants with current OSHA HAZWOPER training are preferred but not required. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
