Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of diverse environmental projects across Minnesota and potentially nearby states.
• Supervise technical staff to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables, including resource schedules, technical reports, memorandums, and proposals.
• Independently oversee client relationships, project financials, and resource planning.
• Provide senior-level project oversight with expert technical input on UST (Underground Storage Tank) and non-UST sites.
• Apply a strong technical foundation in site investigation (due diligence, Phase II assessments, soil/groundwater investigations, vapor intrusion) and remediation (remedy selection, design, engineering, construction, and operations & maintenance).
• Review and author technical reports with a focus on regulatory compliance and client satisfaction.
• Evaluate subsurface characteristics for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation.
• Support the design and implementation of remedial systems under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
• Develop and implement regulatory strategies for client advocacy, including preparation for regulatory submittals and negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and business development leads to ensure consistent, high-quality client service.
• Lead team meetings to review project updates, staffing needs, and employee development.
• Conduct performance reviews and mentor direct reports.
• Hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in geology, environmental science, or a related scientific field.

Skills and Requirements
• 5–10+ years of experience in environmental site investigation, reporting, remediation, and project management in Minnesota.
• Strong working knowledge of Minnesota environmental regulations; experience with the Petroleum Tank Release Cleanup Fund (Petrofund) is a plus.
• Proven experience in technical report writing, client interaction, and staff supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to author complex site work plans, comprehensive site characterizations, and remedial action plans that include multi-layered interpretations and actionable recommendations.
• Managerial experience in client relations, budgeting, and personnel oversight is required.
• Track record of maintaining long-term client relationships through high-quality service and results.
• Excellent communication, organizational, teamwork, and client service skills.
• Strong technical writing and analytical abilities.
• Professional Geologist (PG) certification is a plus.
• Experience in business development or generating project leads is a plus.
