at State of Delaware in Dover, Delaware, United States Job Description This position resides in the Division of Water and serves as the Resource Protection Section Manager responsible for providing managerial support for protection of Delaware's water resources with focus areas including monitoring and evaluating groundwater conditions, grant management, standardizing Division wide business processes, as well as leading the Division's inspection, compliance, and enforcement actions. JOB REQUIREMENTS for Environmental Program Manager II Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field. Six months experience in environmental/natural resources program administration which includes overseeing and directing the development, implementation and evaluation of environmental/natural resource programs and services; establishes program objectives; plan short and long range program goals; develop and implement program policies and procedures and ensures compliance and funding requirements. Provides advice to other agency organizational units through consultation. Three years experience in analyzing and evaluating data. Three years experience in interpreting environmental laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures. Six months experience in staff supervision which includes planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others.
