Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Akkodis is seeking an Environmental Health Safety Specialist for an onsite contract position in Victorville, CA, with a pay range of $30 to $40 per hour. The role requires a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 3 years in EHS within aviation or manufacturing. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Cal/OSHA regulations is essential. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan.
Akkodis is recruiting for an EHS Specialist for an aerospace manufacturer in the Victorville, CA area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay range of $30 hour to $40 hour, depending on education, experience and location. This person will drive implementation of programs to ensure all federal, state, and local health & safety regulatory and GE management system requirements are met.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety or similar (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS within an aviation/manufacturing/industrial environment
• Knowledge of and familiarity with Cal/OSHA Title 8 regulations and Cal/VPP Program
• Proficient knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal and state agencies.
• Travel to additional sites my be needed.
