Summary

In this impactful role, you will be instrumental in shaping how our Ag Retail, Distribution, and Transportation division engages with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs. Your mission is to design and deliver engaging training experiences, enhance EHS communication, and collaborate closely with leaders to boost safety knowledge and culture within the division. This position offers the opportunity to travel up to 25% of the time to various locations, providing on-site training and fostering connections. You'll have the flexibility to work from CHS offices in Sioux Falls, SD; Bismarck, ND; Inver Grove Heights, MN; or other locations, promoting a collaborative environment while extending your reach. Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive learning and education strategy to ensure employees are well-versed in all EHS programs, requirements, and expectations.Design, develop, and deliver high-quality EHS training using various instructional methods, technologies, and media to accommodate diverse learning needs.Work closely with EHS team members through regular meetings to synchronize training, communications, and messaging across the division.Enhance EHS communication by clarifying key messages, improving information accessibility, and boosting overall communication effectiveness.Track, report, and communicate training completion and compliance status for all division employees.Oversee the development and continuous improvement of new hire orientation, annual refresher training, and other role-specific training programs.Assess department-wide progress in EHS competencies and provide recommendations to enhance knowledge, engagement, and performance.Evaluate third-party training programs to ensure they align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.Manage vendor relationships to support external training program delivery.Provide leadership with regular updates on training performance, trends, effectiveness, and improvement opportunities.Promote a strong safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, adhering to safety policies and regulations, and identifying and addressing workplace hazards.Travel up to 25% of the time to support training, communication, and engagement initiatives throughout the division.Minimum Qualifications (required)

High School diploma or GED2+ years of experience in Environmental, Health, and/or SafetyAdditional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field is preferred.Pre-employment screening will be based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may be required.
