Clean Harbors is hiring an Environmental Field Chemist in Hinckley, OH, responsible for managing chemical waste in compliance with regulations. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work at various sites, daily customer interaction, and requires a CDL. Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated Environmental Field Chemist with CDL (CleanPack Chemist) to manage, segregate, and inspect chemical waste according to Federal, State, and Local regulations while adhering to our company policies. You will work both indoors and outdoors at various sites including plants, labs, and customer locations. This position involves daily customer interaction and requires a proactive approach.

Prioritize health and safety by adhering to safe work practices and policies.Create computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restriction notifications.Inspect staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure compliance.Monitor storage areas and containers for leaks or spills, ensuring proper labeling.Collect, segregate, and package waste chemicals efficiently while adhering to compliance standards.Engage in on-site projects at various locations including Fortune 500 companies.Prepare all shipments in compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company policies.Understand and execute customer-specific disposal and packaging requirements.Sample and profile new waste streams requiring analytical testing.Ensure correct drum counts and shippable conditions according to our policies.Observe all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.Safely operate vehicles following all highway regulations.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Required: Valid CDL B and strong customer service skills.Must obtain CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within six months of employment.Ability to perform physical tasks associated with job requirements.Must pass a background check, drug test, and physical.Comply with OSHA's Facial Hair Policy for respiratory protection.Preferred: A college degree in Chemistry or Natural Science and experience in Environmental Services.This is an entry-level management position with numerous growth opportunities within Clean Harbors.
