Wilson Construction is seeking an Environmental Coordinator in Nevada, IA, for a field position managing environmental compliance on construction projects in the electrical utility sector. Location: Nevada Position SummaryWe have an immediate opening for an Environmental Coordinator based in Ely, Nevada. The role involves managing environmental compliance on construction projects within the electrical utility construction industry.Location RequirementsThis is a field position for a project that will start roughly mid-June 2026 and continue through 2028. The project is in remote areas of southern Idaho and eastern Nevada.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct environmental training for construction crews.Manage subcontractor resources.Conduct field monitoring and inspection for environmental compliance (hydrocarbon spills, erosion and sediment control, sensitive resource mitigation).Follow plans to meet mitigation requirements and suggest amendments as necessary.Update and maintain construction SPCC and SWPPP.Install and/or maintain erosion and sediment controls as needed.Interact and effectively communicate with all levels of Project Management staff, field superintendents, clients, and vendors.Construction will occur 6 days per week.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Natural Resources, Biology, or another related field.Work experience in a related/relevant field (stormwater, geology, hydrology, biology, etc.).General knowledge of environmental laws, regulations and permitting at the Federal, State and local levels.Experience conducting and documenting fieldwork.Capable of performing strenuous fieldwork and walking long distances.Environmental permitting experience helpful.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with various levels of staff and personality types.Proficiency in MS Office.Strong attention to detail and organization.Must be able to work outside and travel, as necessary.Must have a valid state driver’s license.BenefitsCompetitive salary and excellent benefits package, including employer-paid medical, dental, vision, 401(k), personal time off, and holiday pay.Equal Opportunity EmployerWilson Construction Co. is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Additional RequirementsSmoke and drug free environment.
