Job Description
C2REM is seeking an Environmental Consultant Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA, requiring 3-5+ years of experience in civil/environmental engineering or related fields. Responsibilities include conducting environmental assessments, data analysis, report preparation, and project management. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Science, field experience, and skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. The position offers a salary of $70,000-$80,000 annually with benefits.
An Environmental Management and Development Company has an opening for a Project Engineer in Costa Mesa, California.
Candidate should have 3-5+ years industry experience (field related to civil/environmental/ geological engineering, science, consulting). Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science is preferred. Field experience with soil and groundwater sampling and monitoring activities is preferred. Other qualifications and desirable skills for the position include: construction experience, and/or hazardous waste remediation experience/certification/ licensing. Additional skills such as Auto CAD (or equivalent) proficiency and/or certifications/licensing are desirable.
Job Description/Requirements:
· Conduct Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments
· Collect environmental sampling (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, etc.) & field measurements
· Analysis of data collected in the field to evaluate potential risks to human health and the environment
· Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring reports, work plans, cleanup plans, health and safety plans, etc.
· Subcontractor and vendor oversight providing attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality to meet company standards as well as coordination with laboratories
· Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
· Undertake remedial investigations, technical and feasibility studies
· Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
· Prepares engineering documents by developing remediation system specifications, plans, and schedules
· Coordination with project managers to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget
· Experience with client relations, project management, and report writing.
· Must have excellent oral and written communication proficiencies, possess strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, clients and potential clients, and must have strong initiative skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
· Additional skills such as AutoCAD and/or GIS (or equivalent) proficiency are desirable.
· 40 hour Hazwoper training highly preferred
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
