Job Description

Talisman Advisory Partners is seeking an Environmental Air Quality, GHG, and Noise Specialist in San Diego County, California. The role involves conducting air quality assessments, analyzing GHG emissions, and performing noise level analysis for various projects. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in environmental regulations and Microsoft Office is required. This is a full-time position.
Our client, a leading environmental consulting firm, is looking for an Environmental Specialist to join their team in San Diego County. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects—from residential and mixed-use developments to transportation and utility infrastructure.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
• Conduct air quality assessments, emissions analysis, and health risk evaluations using tools like CalEEMod and EMFAC.
• Analyze GHG emissions and climate change impacts, ensuring compliance with Climate Action Plans.
• Perform noise level analysis for construction, transportation, and stationary sources using models like TNM, RCNM, and CadnaA.
• Collect on-site noise measurements with ANSI Type II sound level meters.
• Ensure projects meet CEQA air quality, GHG, and noise standards.
• Research and interpret local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Prepare technical reports for CEQA/NEPA documentation.
• Work closely with project managers to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in air quality, GHG emissions, or noise analysis for CEQA/NEPA projects.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal environmental regulations (Clean Air Act, CEQA, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reports and presentations.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create Excel trackers, and be able to use Word and PowerPoint for reporting/presentations via Teams or in-person
