If the answer to the above is yes then you may be interested in the Environment Manager role I am currently recruiting for. The company currently turnover over £500 million and have a track record of successful operation across major capital work projects focusing on the gas and utilities sectors and are continuing to grow rapidly.
Responsibilities for the Environment Manager will include:
• Lead Consents & Approvals: Manage consents and approvals for infrastructure projects, overseeing specialist consultants and coordinating application processes.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Keep up to date with planning, environmental, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and statutory bodies, while leading a team of environmental support staff.
• Project Integration & Reporting: Integrate consent requirements into project plans, maintain accurate documentation, and support compliance reporting.
The successful Environment Manager will have:
• Proven experience in a similar role ideally within utilities, construction, infrastructure or wider built environment
• Hold a degree in a relevant Environmental related subject or hold a relevant professional e.g. IEMA
• Experience with Environmental management systems e.g., ISO14001, waste management plans and ideally carbon and energy reporting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ideally experience working closely with stakeholders
