About the position

PPM Consultants, Inc., an Environmental Consulting Firm, is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist with 0 to 2 years of professional experience for the Altamonte Springs (Orlando, FL area). This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in environmental geology. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a certified Professional Engineer and a certified Professional Geologist, providing an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and pursue obtaining your P.G./RPG certification. The role involves a variety of tasks related to environmental assessment and remediation, ensuring that the candidate will be exposed to practical applications of their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios. As an Entry-Level Geologist, you will be responsible for overseeing drilling activities, conducting inspections and maintenance of remediation systems, and sampling soil or groundwater. The position requires physical activity, including lifting or pulling pumps, probes, or similar equipment from remediation wells or manways. You will also be expected to work within industrial manufacturing facilities and in various weather conditions, which adds to the dynamic nature of the job. Frequent travel within Florida is a requirement, and you may be called upon to perform other duties as needed, making adaptability and a willingness to learn essential traits for this role.
