Job Description & Requirements

Carlson Environmental, a Nova Group GBC Company (Carlson) is seeking new graduates or entry-level candidates to assist with conducting Phase I and writing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and Phase II Subsurface Investigations & remedial oversight. Candidates should be local to the Chicago area, and should be self-motivated, well organized, collaborative, and able to work on multiple projects at the same time. This is a hybrid position encompassing a combination of working remotely, working in our office, and working in the field.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Successful candidates will be required to have:
• A bachelor's degree in a related scientific field
• The ability to multi-task on various projects simultaneously
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work outdoors including in inclement weather

Responsibilities
• Conduct site visits for and prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
• Conduct fieldwork for Phase II Subsurface Investigations
• Conduct field oversight for various subcontracted services
• Assist with report preparation
• Various other duties as-needed
