Job Description

Meta is seeking an Energy Program Coordinator in Pierre, SD to develop innovative energy solutions for their data centers. Responsibilities include implementing energy strategies, negotiating agreements, overseeing project processes, and collaborating with various teams. Compensation ranges from $170,000 to $238,000 per year.

Energy Program Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative energy strategies tailored to individual data center locations.
• Clearly define and relay energy needs to internal teams and external partners.
• Negotiate energy infrastructure agreements in accordance with our project goals and company policies, offering recommendations for leadership approval.
• Oversee project due diligence, site development, construction, and operational processes related to energy initiatives.
• Facilitate communication and deliverables among utility partners, internal stakeholders, and consultants.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with teams across site selection, engineering, data center design, construction, operations, legal, and finance.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements that lead to significant savings in time and costs during project delivery.
• Lead and execute various temporary energy initiatives for Meta, ensuring successful results and added value for the organization.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 25%).

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related energy discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience with a utility, energy project developer, design/consulting firm, construction firm, or energy-intensive enterprise.
• Comprehensive knowledge of transmission, distribution, utility interconnection processes, and electrical frameworks.
• Experience managing project development for large-scale, complex initiatives.
• Exceptional program management capabilities to handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and/or Keynote.

Public Compensation:

$170,000/year to $238,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
